INTERNSHIP PHASE 2
WEEK 5
The teaching practice conducted this week helped me gain valuable classroom experience. The lessons were planned with specific learning outcomes, and necessary teaching aids were prepared in advance. I made efforts to create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Each lesson began with an engaging introduction to attract students’ attention. Previous knowledge was linked with the new lesson through questioning and short discussions. This helped students understand the topic better and increased their interest in learning.
During the teaching process, I used a variety of methods such as explanation, demonstration, and activity-based learning. Students were encouraged to participate by answering questions and sharing their ideas. The blackboard was used neatly and systematically, which helped students follow the lesson easily. Group activities helped improve interaction and teamwork among students.
I noticed that most students were attentive and actively involved in classroom activities. Some students were shy at first but gradually gained confidence and participated. A few students faced difficulty in understanding certain concepts, so I provided extra explanation and individual support after the class.
This week also helped me improve my classroom discipline and communication skills. I learned how to manage time effectively and adjust my teaching according to students’ responses. Overall, the teaching experience was meaningful and strengthened my confidence as a future teacher. In the coming week, I plan to include more creative activities and focus on improving assessment strategies to monitor students’ progress.
