 WEEKLY REFLECTION

Monday to Friday 

This final week of my internship was a meaningful and reflective experience. Since it was the last phase of my teaching practice, I focused completely on classroom activities, completing my lessons, and supporting students as much as possible. Each day helped me recognise how much I have grown in confidence, teaching ability, and classroom management over the course of the internship.

Throughout the week, I continued observing classes handled by different teachers. I paid closer attention to their teaching styles, student interactions, and methods of dealing with classroom challenges. These observations helped me refine my own approach and understand the importance of patience, clarity, and adaptability in teaching.

I also handled several substitution periods, giving me the opportunity to manage classes independently. During these sessions, I guided students with their classwork, clarified doubts, and ensured the class remained disciplined and engaged. These duties made me more responsible and strengthened my skills in managing different types of learners.

In my own teaching periods, I completed the remaining portions of my lessons. I used clear explanations, examples, and board work to make the content easier for students to understand. I also encouraged participation through questioning and discussion. The students responded actively and were more comfortable interacting with me, which showed the good rapport we built over the internship period. It was satisfying to see their improvement and interest in the subject.

Throughout the week, I also interacted with students during short breaks, which helped strengthen our connection. They shared their doubts freely and sought guidance, and I felt more confident in supporting their learning needs.

This final week allowed me to look back on my overall growth as a teacher-trainee. I realised how much my teaching skills, communication, and classroom management have improved since the beginning. The experience has given me a deeper understanding of the teaching profession and strengthened my commitment to becoming an effective teacher in the future.

Overall, the last week was both productive and emotionally rewarding. It marked a meaningful conclusion to my internship journey, filled with valuable lessons, classroom experiences, and positive interactions with students.
