INTERNSHIP PHASE 2

WEEK 4

This week of teaching practice was informative and rewarding. All lessons were planned in advance with clear objectives. Each class began with a short introduction and revision of the previous lesson, which helped students connect their prior knowledge with the new content.

During the presentation of lessons, different teaching strategies were used to suit the needs of all learners. The blackboard was used effectively to explain important points, and teaching aids such as charts and examples from daily life helped students understand better. Questioning techniques were used throughout the lesson to check students’ understanding and keep them engaged. Group and pair activities were conducted to promote cooperation, communication, and peer learning among students.

Students actively participated in classroom discussions and activities. Most students were able to understand the concepts and complete the given tasks confidently. However, a few students needed repeated explanation and individual attention. Extra support was provided to slow learners by simplifying the content and giving additional practice.

Classroom management improved over the week as I gained more confidence in handling students. Time management was mostly effective, though a few activities took longer than planned. This helped me realize the importance of flexible planning.

Overall, the week was successful and helped me reflect on my strengths and areas for improvement. In the coming weeks, I plan to use more learner-centred methods, integrate simple teaching aids, and

focus more on inclusive teaching to ensure better learning outcomes for all students.
